Description

Driver Medicals Cardiff

We deliver our Driver Medicals at Premier Inn Cardiff North, Pentwyn Road, Cardiff, CF23 7XH. The venue is clean and comfortable and easy to find. Plenty of free parking is available at this hotel.

Your appointment should take between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on how complex your medical history is.  Although we do our very best to run clinics to schedule, sometimes we can get a little behind schedule. We recommend that you allow an hour at least for your appointment and advise that you don’t book anything important straight afterwards.

We will need to complete a very basic vision test, both with and without any glasses or contact lenses, so please make sure you have any glasses you wear to drive with you and are able to remove and replace any contact lenses you need to wear (bring any fluid etc you need). Blood pressure is also measured at your appointment and this can be raised if you have only just arrived so we recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes early to give you time to rest and relax. Please avoid energy drinks or coffee before your appointment as these can also raise your blood pressure.

After booking you will receive two emails; a payment acknowledgement will arrive straight away and within a couple of days you will also receive an email with more details about what to expect and what you will need.

Taxi Drivers

If you are attending for your taxi medical, then it is VERY important you read our guidance and read the emails we send in full. Our doctor will record the outcome of your medical on the day on the medical form you must bring with you, our doctors do not carry copies of individual council forms. Each council have their own medical documents, please contact the council you drive for, for ways to obtain these medical forms. You can usually download and print the forms from the council website.
